KS1 & KS2: Wildlife Workshop*

The first of 4 day-long workshops available, the Wildlife Workshop introduces children to the idea of nature and wildlife through art. More importantly it encourages them to consider their own natural surroundings. The outcome for this workshop is a series of drawings and a greetings card with their final design. The cards will be professionally scanned and made available to purchase by parents, with a percentage of sales being given to the school.

Workshop Outline:

An introduction to the workshop, including a visual presentation showcasing examples of the kinds of artwork the children will be making and the influences behind the artwork.

A look at various natural environments and the creatures found there.

Discussion on perspective and ways of recording information

Practical in recording environments using a camera (weather permitting)

Step-by-step drawing workshops of various creatures/insects.

Greetings card workshop
