About Me

Hello  there! I’m Kate MacAndrew, a twenty-something girl inspired by the English countryside around me and the things I find in my cottage garden. I am a painter, crafter, photographer, blogger, workshop leader and a runner. I am a daughter to wonderful parents who encouraged me to follow my dream of becoming an artist, a big sister to a not so little brother anymore, a partner to a man who supports me in any way he can and a smitten owner to a wonderful cat called William

A few of my favourite things include painting and photography, reading creative blogs, tweeting, using Instagram to share my photos I’ve snapped

with my iPhone, drinking cups of tea, reading crafty and lifestyle magazines like Cloth Paper Scissors and Country Living, visiting coffee shops and local farm shops, goingfor walks in the countryside, visiting galleries and art shows, running and taking part in various charity events and meeting up with friends for a good catch up.

Inspired Naturally is my creative business, born in the summer of 2009 after I graduated with an Illustration degree. My artwork is created by combining both my paintings and photography. With the natural world around me as a basis for my inspiration, new images and ideas are always being created. I hope to produce artwork that people can enjoy, and perhaps encourage them to look at their surrounding more closely.

I offer art workshops on a small or large scale to primary schools and community groups in and around the Derbyshire area. I also take on personal mixed media commissions and pet portraits for which more information can be found here and here.
