Inspirational Blogger: Julie Ann
Hello! As alaways I am very excited to share my eighth interview in the series ~ the Inspirational Blogger Interview.
Over the few years I have been reading and keeping my own blog there have been certain bloggers who have made a huge impact on me. Over the coming weeks I would like to share with you some of these inspirational people. This particular blogger is another I have found more recently but I was immediately hooked with her interesting posts and beautiful greetings cards. Without further a do, this weeks interview is with the very talented Julie Ann:

Hi, thank you for agreeing to take part in my Inspirational Blogger interview! First of all, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started on your creative journey?
Hi there, I’m Julie Ann! I’m a blogger, small business owner and DIY lover. I started selling greeting cards on Etsy three years ago, sort of on a whim for something fun to do. My cards are now sold in multiple brick and mortar stores across the U.S. The most recent addition to my business has been my blog, Julie Ann Art, which I use as my creative outlet for all my ideas, inspirations and DIY projects. When I am not blogging or creating I can be found on my pink beach cruiser, with my boyfriend Jordan and our Terrier pup, Penny, by my side.
How did you first find out about blogging and what made you decide to have a go?
I have admired my favorite blogs for years and one day I just had a sort of “light bulb” moment that was like, “I could do that too.” And just like that, I was working on my blog design and thinking of post ideas. It is a lot of hard work but at this point I can’t imagine NOT blogging.

Has blogging had a positive affect on your creative success and the way you run your business?
Most definitely. Blogging has been the most rewarding thing I have done for my business because it allows me to interact directly with others, whether it be with my readers or fellow bloggers. The network it has opened me up to is so big, so creative and so inspiring.
How has your blog developed since you began?
Honestly, my blog has grown so much in its 8 months lifespan that it humbles me every time I think about it. I think it has to do with the content I post and my understanding of promoting online, thanks to my time on Etsy. I have such pride in what I do because I put so much time into creating quality posts. It’s just a refreshing feeling to know that my reader’s enjoy what I enjoy doing.

What has been the best thing to come out of having your blog?
Support from my readers, hands down. They are awesome! As a modest girl I never really knew people liked what I did until I started blogging. It has been so fun to create a relationship with others who have an interest in what I’m creating and not only support me but inspire me themselves with new ideas.
Can you leave us with one piece of advice for anybody who is just starting out in the blogging world or who would like to improve their blog?
Be yourself. Don’t feel obligated to do what other bloggers are doing. If you feel comfortable with what you are blogging, and enjoy it, it will show through to your readers. And one other thing! Network! Find blogs you like, comment on them, tweet at fellow bloggers! You will make great friends!
Thanks so much for asking me to do this interview Kate! I was honored! :]
I hope this post has inspired you to enjoy your blogging or perhaps start a blog if you haven’t already!

thank you for sharing! I certainly agree with “Don’t feel obligated to do what other bloggers are doing.” It was a great revelation for me to find awesome bloggers that don’t follow the rules of typical successful blogs. I have so many new ideas now for my blog and can’t wait to take it on the next level.
Thanks so much for the feature Kate! :]
Such a great read! Thanks Kate and Julie Ann
