4 days to go…
…until the BUPA Great North Run 2011on Sunday! I am getting SO excited now, I can hardly wait until we make the journey up to Newcastle on Saturday. This will be my fourth, consecutive year running it and my enthusiasm only seems to become greater each time!
The weekend we spend in Newcastle has become one of the weekends I look forward to the most. It means a lot to me to be running with my parents and my aunty and this year we are also joined by one of our friends, and a fellow London Moonwalker! The first time I ran in this event in 2008 it was over my 21st birthday weekend (the 4th and 5th Oct) which made it all the more special. Newcastle is also special to my parents because it is where they went to university and met over 30 years ago.
Well, enough reminiscing, I have one last 4 mile run to do later, my iron-on letters to add to my running vest and a list to make of all the things I’ll need to take with me! I’ll be putting a few more posts up before I leave on Saturday and I will no doubt have lots of photos to share here once I’m back
