Great North Run 2010!

Well the last week or two has been pretty hectic. As soon as my website was back up and running again it meant I could completely focus my time and energy into final preperations for the GNR on 19th September. We were due to travel up to Newcastle early on the Saturday to miss all the traffic and also to enjoy the day sight-seeing, watching the junior runs (in which my cousin’s children were taking part) and the athletics between England and Australia.

It was a gloriously sunny Saturday and I have to admit I got a bit ‘snap-happy’ with my iPhone and took lots of photos during our day looking around Newcastle and on Race Day itself! Here are a few of the best from my weekend:

Angel of the North

The Tyne Bridge which we would be running over the following day

Walking across the Millennium Bridge

Our view as we sat outside before going to dinner

RACE DAY!

Dad and I before we got on the Runners’ Bus to the Start line

Gill and I on the Runners’ Bus

Gill and I before the start (black bin liners used to keep warm before we start!)

Me waiting nervously to start!

The Red Arrows fly over as we move to the start line

Finished!

We all had a great weekend and my Aunt and I beat our time from last year which ended the experience perfectly!

Since getting back I have been working on a new range/set of designs and have a few more product ideas, more soon!
